Dr. Blue is an excellent surgeon. He did a total knee replacement on my right knee, and then a manipulation on the same knee three months later. the care I received was exceptional. He is direct and to the point, but he is friendly and personable. The staff at his office is great. They know me by name when I come in the door. My only complaint is that he is too far away, as it takes a good 45 minutes to get to his office.

My 92 year old mother was a patient of Dr Blue for a bone break (humerus) in her arm. On her 5th and final visit, Dr Blue started asking questions about medications and smoking as if she were a new patient. Then Dr. Blue said her arm was not healing so he was referring her to a “trauma” doctor in Columbia or Charlotte. I asked him what “trauma” meant. “Trauma” doctor means another orthopedist! Waited one hour, no one apologized for the wait. Dr. Blue seemed very distracted and dashed out of the room without informing me as to what he saw on my xray. Very disappointing experience.

Front desk staff was absolutely awesome, however we get back to the room and the sweet nurse that called us back informed us that they were going to have to get another X-ray. The lady that took my son said nothing when she came to the door to get him, he had to ask her if she was taking him for the xray. When he came back to the room he waited for someone to come because he wanted to know of he could put his shirt back on, the X-ray lady walked past and he asked her if he could put his shirt on and rudely said no as she pro... read more

Was referred to Dr. Blue after my child's injury by MUSC Emergency room. Called the office and was told he would have to look at the X-ray before an appointment could be made. The office calls back and tells me he does not want to deal with my child's case....GOODBYE!!! The staff was extremely rude and even hung up on me. I called OrthoCarolina and they are AMAZING!!!!!!!
