Needed a biopsy and the person that called me to give the consult was unable to answer my questions about the procedure, and instead seemed to just read from a script. I told the doctor that I couldn't sign the informed consent form because nobody properly informed me about it, and he did answer my questions. The ultrasound tech was the most wonderful person that was part of the procedure. She was the only one that seemed to actually care how I was doing afterwards. Giving 5 stars is rare for me, HOWEVER, in this case it's deserved. I would like to let the Human Resources Dept. know that the Lab Manager (Anton?) at the Health campus, was a great help to me when I called and spoke with him about a problem I had with one of the Check-In Staff at the lab desk. I explained to him that when I tried to drop a sample off at the desk, the medical rep. refused to accept it. Web site says lab open 24/7. I got here 0500. Crickets! I called the main hospital number. They said 0645. At 0700 nothing. I am not happy!
I’ve been going to Lancaster General Health Suburban for several years for various tests, including blood work, CT scans, and more. It’s a very convenient location with many services available in one place. The one downside is that you may occasionally encounter an employee with a bad attitude; however, most of my interactions with the LGHSP staff have been pleasant and professional.
