Just called the Oxford location the lady was so very rude! If we only took some time to be kind the world would be better! Birmingham was sweet and kind.
Dr. Powell performed a fibroid removal surgery. The plan was for her to use a minimally invasive approach with the robotic assisted machine to remove a single fibroid on the outside of my uterus, but she ended up doing a full abdominal myomectomy (C section cut). A few years later I needed 3 more fibroids removed, and my new OBGYN said the previous removal absolutely could have been performed via laparoscopy, but it is up to the OBGYN's level of comfort/training. Dr. Powell is a wonderful doctor. Extremely intelligent and competent as well as having a very down to earth bedside manner. She took care of me for my first pregnancy and I felt I was in good hands from the moment we met. She is a good listener and very knowledgeable. My delivery was excellent. Dr. Powell and everyone in her office are absolutely incredible. Nobody cares about how much you know, until they know how much you care, and everyone in this office is a caring, high-level professional. Every time I needed something, had a question, or concern, Dr. Powell and her office always treated me with dignity and respect. If you are coming to this practice for VBAC or any sort of sane/calm delivery, please leave and go anywhere else. You will end up with a forced C-section. Within moments of arriving, she told me both me and my baby would die if I didn’t have the surgery that she had already scheduled (prior to assessing me) many hours later….
