My husband and I were excited to try Lampy's after hearing my brother's positive review of their food. After eating there last night, I can honestly say we were less than impressed. The service was slow, the meals are overpriced for the quality and portion sizes served, and this establishment is clearly not aware of what the term customer service means! Can't wait to return! – I can't wait to return to Lampy's as a regular diner. My experience with this restaurant in Endicott was with 14 guests for a birthday dinner for my mother. As with another reviewer, we planned a selected menu with the manager, Tom McCoy. Our guests were dazzled by the superb food; the thoughtful, adept and accommodating service; and the warm, sophisticated atmosphere of the restaurant overall. Great place to have a party! – We celebrated our son's Christening at Lampy's and a week later 40 relatives are still complimenting the food...everything was perfect, the staff could not have done a better job. Manager Mike Tulsey was very accomodating, I chose 7 entrees and 5 appetizers for the "limited menu" and he didn't hesitate a bit; planning my event was very pleasant. I am from NYC and chose Lampy's for my event because it reminded me of a Manhattan restaurant and it was everything I hoped it would be.
Amazing Customer Service – My husband and myself discovered Lampy's recently and let me tell you we are so happy to have found this restaurant...the food was superb! I had a hard time choosing what to order because, there were so many different options on the menu. The service was stellar. My husband and myself loved the ambiance and will definetaly be returning to Lampy's soon. It was an all around A++++ experience!
You will not be disappointed! – I travel alot for work so I get to try a wide range of restaurants and I will just say this...Lampy's ranks in my top 5 nationwide! The customer service is phenomenal...the servers always go out of there way to make a meal special. Your drink is never empty, you never have to wait for the next food item....it makes for a lovely dining experience. The atmosphere and lovely bar area doesn't hurt either haha! It is a definite must try if you have not yet!
Check your mashed potatoes!!! – As many locals may know Lampy's location used to be the home of the wonderful restaurant Orlando's. I went to this restaurant for as long as I can remember so when it shut down I was very disappointed. Once Lampy's opened I decided to check it out and I thought it was just great but after the last time I went there I will never return again. Worst of Endicott – Save your stomach and pocket book by eatting elsewhere. This place is an overpriced dump. My boyfriend had terrible veal marsala, and my dinner came fifteen minutes after his! The manager was a real inconciderate person about it and spent the rest of the night drinking at the bar. This is not way to keep my patrionage. I hope that Mr.Lampy makes a few changes, Endicott could use a good establishment, for good people.
Best Meal I've Ever Had – I came here with a girlfriend of mine from high school. I have since moved to NY and she's moved elsewhere and we both had the best meal of our lives. Everything: each course from appetizers to desserts, delicious wine, amazing service and a terrific atmosphere. I'll be returning!
