Not the best food, but definitely worth it for the historical atmosphere and the drinks
Food was buns got alot of things in our orders wrong. For example someone orders a medium rare stake ot it was gray when he got it. Instead of eating here you should eat at the Kit Carson restaurant their food is so much better.
We've been here twice, each time we have visited New Mexico. Both times the service was bad and the food was worse. I had a taco salad with chicken. The chicken was most definitely bagged, pressed chicken, from a big box store like Cosco or Sam's Club. Our friends had steaks for their anniversary. while using a substantially smaller menu. This restaurant successfully had our party of 9 fed in over 2 hours. ABSOLUTELY horrible. Food was good but took far to long for simple food
Food was very overpriced and the service was almost nonexistent. The 29 dollar salmon didn’t have the glaze the menu mentioned, and the “seasonal vegetables” was just corn. Our waitress only showed up to deliver the food, which took 45 min to anrrive, and didn’t refill water even once. The restaurant was half empty, but it still took over 10 min for her to just bring the check.
