I was referred to Lamb Behavioral. I was very excited to start therapy, but the receptionist was very unpleasant. For starters, she didn't make me feel welcome over the phone; she sounded as if she didn't want to be there, like she was just worried about money/insurance. There was no real engagement or concern about why I was joining, nothing about their Therapy sessions, how it works, or anything. I had Dr. Jimenez who is no longer around. With her I had a caring person who related to my problems and tried to form a genuine connection with me, and the treatment I had here was focused and effective. However, I will not be back. I used to sometimes show up 5 minutes late or so to appointments sometimes due to the commute. The people at the front desk said that they would have to charge me money. Management and staff need improvements. Sketchy charges spontaneously popped up to hundreds of dollars without clear documentation/explanation. Staff need to educate/communicate better. Not a fan of the assistant manager either, she was heartless. The only reason I'm staying with this mental health clinic is for Dr. Lamberty. Over 2 years of building a relationship with my therapist, and she is incredible. Dr. Lamberty truly saved my life, thank you for everything.
