Terrible experience and rude staff. My mother was scheduled for gallbladder surgery at 8:30 am with Dr. Lamas at Hialeah hospital. Arrived at 8:15, went to surgery waiting room and was greeted with "you came to early your surgery is at 10:30 am." My mom explained she received a call the day before stating 8:30 am and was told no we told you 10:30 check your papers, she showed the lady the papers which stated 8:30 and was rudely told well you have to wait. Absolutely ridiculous if you want to spend HOURS at the doctor then this doc is for you. Only came here because we were limited because of insurance plan my mom is on but I would never return. They don’t have appointments times. They tell you to come a certain day between a certain time frame and basically first come first serve. So you have all these elderly patients waiting all day long to see a doctor. Crazy how this operation works.
My mom had a port placed By DR. LAMAS at Hialeah Hospital not only did it get infected and had to be removed at Another hospital but it hurt tremendously. My mom was not completely anestestitized and complained of pain throughout the procedure and was told to try and tough it out. She had terrible pain and pressure throughout the procedure and four weeks later pain has persisted. Wouldn’t recommend this doctor to anyone.
