I have been a patient of Lakewood Ranch Medical Group for over five years and have seen several doctors during that time. My medical needs are pretty basic, but the constant turnover of providers has made it difficult to maintain any continuity of care. I prefer a female doctor, but this practice hasn't seemed able to keep the same female doctors on staff for more than a couple of years. My most recent experience was especially frustrating. Worst office ever.Doctor is only available for yearly physical scheduled one year in advance. Prescriptions take weeks to be filled. Office staff is rude and blames pharmacy for not filling prescription. No on call doctor. Was in emergency room twice over a weekend. Could not get an appointment for a follow up visit after emergency room. Office could care a less. Would not let me leave a message for doctor. Never been treated so poorly at a doctor’s office. Patient portal will not even let you leave a message for doctor.
Horrible office. It’s asinine how many times you have to call to get them to do anything, call to correct things, and that’s when you can get someone to answer or return calls.
