Called to replace capacitor on our 2 year old A/C unit. Before, leaving, the technician warned my wife to look for pooling in the basement. Specifically telling her that if we see pooling around the unit to call Lakeville Heating & Air back immediately as that is a signal for big problems. My wife did not share that information with me. Bad business! First they will take your credit card send someone out to look at your furnace and see what the problem is. That is a $100 dollar charge. Not a problem with that at all but then the quote for the fix comes back $332 dollars higher then anybody else. They were going to replace the draft motor on my furnace. The part is $166 online with free shipping and they were going to charge $612 dollars. $446 for labor and travel. This why they are not on home adviser and the guy in the office was very rude. The premise of this complaint is laughable and baseless. The customer ordered our services and willingly provided credit card info when asked. In return we dispatched a service technician in a van to a rural address. Our technician informed the customer that we would need to begin researching his necessary part as we did not have that in stock. Soon thereafter we called the customer with information regarding his part and that we could have it installed immediately, but in the meanwhile he found his part from an on-line merc... read more
