Our Dad lived at Lakeview, Darlington and our entire family couldn't have been more pleased with this facility. The entire staff was incredibly caring and compassionate. Every employee made him and our family feel welcomed and cared for, from the holiday dinners and parties to the everyday visits and entertainment they were all so kind, friendly and helpful. I had the opportunity to visit this facility a few weeks ago. I was with a friend visiting her loved ones. We walked around the entire facility, but spent the majority of the time outside in the patio area. It was lovely. I could tell that many of the residents enjoyed this area. I also want to take note of my observation of the interaction between staff and residents was heartwarming. They were treated as if they were all friends. So much laughter. Jenny, who manages the kitchen, is always going above and beyond and advocating for the residents. I have visited here multiple times and every resident seems elated to see Jenny coming down the halls. Which tells me she brings JOY into their lives and days. The kitchen staff here is amazing!! They go above and beyond for the residents. I have been there to visit a good friend and I did not care how rude some of the people where. I would never put any of my loved ones there. A woman named Jenny was overly rude. The only person that was nice was a man named Zack. Terrible place for your loved ones.
Only certain staff actually care about patients. Other senior staff refuse to acknowledge poa and will scream at you repeatedly and demean you if you can’t be there every day. Regret ever placing my mother in law in this situation.
