She was recommended by moms group by two people so I gave her a shot. Personally had a bad experience. Seemed to think I was just there to get an old prescription renewed which she wouldn’t, dismissed my symptoms, offered no other solutions. Just saw the chart and she also claimed she checked my vitals like ears/eyes/abdomen which she did not and talked to me about diet which she didn’t. Came to her because recommended in a mom's group. Personally did not have a good experience - felt that she dismissed my symptoms and didn't listen to what I was saying or offer other people to see/other alternatives. It sounds like some people have had positive experiences, but all I can say is she wasn't the right doctor for me and didn't feel I could work with her.
I began suffering from undiagnosed issues. I went in to see Dr. Hoey and was told I should drink more water and go on walks - two things I do, but Dr. Hoey didn't bother to learn that before telling me I should be doing those things. Dr. Hoey was incredibly unprofessional, rude, and judgmental to the point that I cried after my appointment. Oh, and I wound up getting major surgery after I spoke with a surgeon. I wouldn't trust Dr. Hoey since she seemed to think water and walking was all I needed.
Dr. Hoey is the most caring, professional I have ever met. She gives you the time you need for every visit, never rushing you out. She truly cares for her patients.
Very nice, friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough.
I was very happy with Dr. Hoey while she was at Lakeview Medical. I just heard today she is no longer there. I am very disappointed.
