I am shocked at the experience I just had with Dr. Justin Siegel. My daughter came in today direct from the ER after throwing up uncontrollably and testing positive for strep. We were first told by the nurse and the doctor that she tested negative for strep (they were referencing an old test). After getting that cleared up and then reviewing her medical history, including multiple false negatives, we were told we can’t just “change the narrative” just to suit our “purposes”. I visited as a last minute appt on Jan 3, 24. I was experiencing prolonged (about 5 weeks) congestion, post nasal drip, mucus, throat issues. I had been to PCP and urgent care. Tried OTC medication and RX. No real relief. Dr. asked a few questions, did an exam, did an endoscopy through my nose. Told me I had mucus and inflammation, prescribed me a nasal spray and that’s it. My father experienced sudden healing loss recently. I had a heck of a time trying to get him in to see an ENT. Through our primary care doctor’s nurse at Bayview Medical, we were able to get in with Lakeview Ear, Nose, and Throat the next day. The audiologist was very patient and professional (Dr. Novotny). The ENT (Dr. Siegel) was also patient and professional. Additionally, the office staff demonstrated kindness and efficiency with scheduling. My son needed a hearing test prior to having tubes put in, Sharon Minor did such a great job working with a less than cooperative one year old. She was patient and spoke to him on his level. She even got down on the floor with him to show him how things would work. She has the patience of a saint!
