I'm only giving her one star because zero isn't an option. Dr. Weaver is very knowledgeable and has cared for our 2 horses for 6 years. BUT... the very sad day came to put one of them down! Any true horse lover knows how hard this is! Unfortunately Dr. Weaver showed me her true colors yesterday while we were preparing for this terrible day. Dr Heidi is an accomplishment and knowledgeable vet, who keeps herself up to date on professional knowledge. She's good about giving options and alternatives. She's here when she says she'll be here, or gives notice of schedule changes. She's responsive to communications. I feel lucky to have her based nearby, since this was a sort of veterinary no man's land previously.
If I could rate Dr. Weaver as a negative 5 star review, I would have. To be a great veterinarian goes far beyond your intelligence and ability to appropriately treat an animal. While she may have those above qualities, she lacks ANY sense of compassion. Yesterday I had to make the decision to put down my 27 yo horse, who I've had since I was 13 (18 years ago).
