I went to the ED early in the morning of 11/4 and after bloodwork, CT, and ultrasound, was told that I was being admitted and would be having an emergency appendectomy later that afternoon. I didn't meet Dr Kate until just before being brought into the OR. I was met with a very judgmental stare and was only with her for about 1 minute.
