Lakeside is a great recovery center. There really is nowhere else to go when you've hit bottom and realize you can't do it alone for one more day. The staff is very friendly, extremely helpful, and caring like YOU haven't experienced before. If you're ready to take back your life, reach out, Bill, Jennifer, Joyce, and the rest of the Auburn staff will help give you the tools you need to start building and living a healthier life again.
Milam has been an amazing experience. The IOP program and my counselor, Bill, have truly changed my life. The tools I’ve gained to stay sober continue to make a difference every single day. I could not have done this alone. Thank you, Bill, and thank you, Lakeside!
Lakeside milam's outpatient treatment has been the most beneficial, positive experience. I appreciate the empathy, care and understanding I've been show in my most vulnerable moments. Chris as a counselor shines, the knowledge he has of addiction being a complex disease is broken down in easily understandable lectures and the dialog he allows between everybody in group allows for relatibilty between patients. Very grateful for this experience. Thank you to everybody here!
I should've come here sooner! Edit: 125 days sober now. After spending decades of my life in active addiction, I was 100% convinced I was just a person that would never be able to get by normally, and needed various substances to be able to do all the different things in my life (e.g. drinking to be social), but I'm discovering lately that that latent ability was always there—I just never gave my brain a chance to develop all those skills on its own.
