I have taken down my last review for Lakeside Estates in Umatilla because the owners have fulfilled their promises to the residents. We now have a new roof on the clubhouse and there will be a new dock in a couple of days. Many trees have been removed or groomed, and the park looks so much better. I only wish that we still had lake water to water our plants with but that was too expensive, and I understand. My last thought is when they raise the rent it needs to be in small amounts, many of us live off social security. The n... read more

I know the reviews are mostly negative, but I have been here 2 1/2 years and I am very happy here. It took awhile for the owners to get some things done but I see a great improvement since I moved in. People complain about the lot rent, but we are lower than the other communities that we looked at. I can honestly say that my neighbors through out this park are amazing. My wife and I have lived in a number of neighborhoods throughout the years and have never had so many wonderful neighbors.

We moved in December 2022. The park is small and has less amenities than a lot of the other parks that we looked at. We decided we didn’t need a lot. We liked the home that we went through and liked the fact that the lot rent was reasonable. We were told that there were plans for a gated entrance, which was important to us. We figured when they installed the gate the rent would probably go up. Almost two years later no gate, but as others have commented, large rent increases. I'm old. My neighbors are old. Most, if not all, have worked hard for many decades. They have raised families and lived the daily American Blue Collar grind. I believe that I speak for most of my friends at Lakeside Estates when I say that we would like to spend our retirement years in peace, with some degree of comfort. The folks here are not afforded the peace and comfort they were expecting when they bought a home in Lakeside Estates and the reason for this comes down to one word and that word is "OWNERSHIP".
