RIP-OFF: BEWARE! Don’t get taken advantage of by greedy mechanics! I needed to replace my alternator, so I pull up and ask the attendant how much it will cost. He tells me $80 diagnostic fee. I responded that I had already tested the vehicle at auto zone and it requires an alternator, how much will you charge me to replace the alternator in this vehicle?
