The airconditioning immediately failed on my brand new 2025 Kona and it took a month to get a service window to have even an initial diagnosis carried out. Now I'm waiting another month to have it rectified, in the QLD heat. The Kona also has an annoying display/announcement system that loses all of its customised settings, and has to be set up again, on EVERY start. I booked a test drive for 3:30pm with Daniel and drove over an hour to get there. When I arrived, reception said he was busy. Then another staff member came out and casually told me, “the car was sold 2 hours ago, I told Daniel already.” No one bothered to call me. I wasted my time and fuel for nothing. When I questioned it, the staff shrugged with a fake “oh sorry, you should’ve reserved the car with a deposit” and blamed his colleague, then walked off with “whatever.” Absolutely disgraceful. Fantastic experience with Lakes Hyundai and our salesman Daniel Robinson. From first look to picking up nothing was too much trouble and we were treated with kindness and respect. My wife loves her new i20N :)
