Older RV and seasonal park model campground. Stayed a week in newer RV area. They tried to put us, a 40ft 5th wheel in the older part with 30amp which was not what we booked. Also the site was sloped on all sides which the steps didnot reach the ground by a foot. They switched us after one night due to closed offices on Tues. Beware of mature trees and narrow roads that could damage roofs and sides of rv. Otherwise it was quiet and nice.
It’s an okay campground, it’s a thousand trails collection park so it’s more of a trailer park for locals with campsites. The staff were decent, pool was nice. Lots of older residents that don’t love the outsiders. It’s a decent area though, not too far outside of Madison. Lots of conveniences nearby.
Shortest version; Cons: Just disappointing, run down, expensive, impossible to book a specific site online, called the online number and they stated for weeks the campground was booked (call direct it took 30 random phone calls but I finally got ahold of someone and book the site I wanted), empty weekend campground, 50 open sites due to poor booking, They added a new full hook up area (nearly impossible to get a trailer into the area due to the sharp turn with rocks and trees, the sites are tiny and full of seasonal construc... read more
Didn't have my reservation but I was receiving messages from the company saying they can't wait to see me. Campsite was level and a pull through. No problem with utilities. Bathrooms were dirty and campers trashed them.
Caters solely to the permanent site renters. The nightly/weekend campers are relegated to the far back of the campground where the bathrooms are porta potties that are not serviced, filthy, and overflowing. Only flush toilets are a half mile walk to the front of camp, but good luck not getting run over by the drunk lunatics on golf carts blasting music and racing around the grounds.
