My mom lives in Watervliet, she fell at home and dad had called an ambulance . I live in st Joe and we assumed she was in watervliet hospital. So I called the watervliet ER and the lady I talked to said yes, 3rd floor. Drove their walked around 3rd floor looking, the one side was completely empty and made our way to surgery side and found a nurse and she said only one patient was on that floor. We have needed Corewell Watervliet ER services 3 times now. 1) husband had blood clot type symptoms in his leg. We were given timely and proficient care on this visit. 2) 2 month old daughter contracted a serious cold with wheezing and breathing difficulties to the point of turning blue. We rushed her to the ER only to be told by DR BLUM “babies get colds. I went to the ER on 11/29/2024 at 3:30 p.m. with a piece of wood in my right eye. I only have 20% vision in my left eye. I asked if she could lead me to the room, and she said it wasn't that far and to follow her. After they did all the preliminary stuff, time passed and I had to go to the restroom. My vision was so bad that I couldn't find the call button because the nurse never gave it to me. I had a dirty paper towel up to my eye. Whatever nurses they have working in the ER has some real nerve getting an attitude with my husband and 22 month old daughter; who was screaming and crying her head off due to an ear infection. You are very much lucky I was at work I guarantee cops would have been called. This is the 2nd time we have taken our daughter to the ER for the same thing and the 2nd time I was not there the nurses and doctors are rude. Don't know what these negative reviews were about. Got checked in and seen right away. They quickly diagnosed the problem from my medical history and walked out of the building feeling 100% better. This is a good ER and I'll vouche for them 100 times out of 100.
