I went to the ER on 11/29/2024 at 3:30 p.m. with a piece of wood in my right eye. I only have 20% vision in my left eye. I asked if she could lead me to the room, and she said it wasn't that far and to follow her. After they did all the preliminary stuff, time passed and I had to go to the restroom. My vision was so bad that I couldn't find the call button because the nurse never gave it to me. I had a dirty paper towel up to my eye. Whatever nurses they have working in the ER has some real nerve getting an attitude with my husband and 22 month old daughter; who was screaming and crying her head off due to an ear infection. You are very much lucky I was at work I guarantee cops would have been called. This is the 2nd time we have taken our daughter to the ER for the same thing and the 2nd time I was not there the nurses and doctors are rude. Don't know what these negative reviews were about. Got checked in and seen right away. They quickly diagnosed the problem from my medical history and walked out of the building feeling 100% better. This is a good ER and I'll vouche for them 100 times out of 100.

Reading the bad reviews I was a bit confused. As soon as I walked in with chest pain, shortness of breath, high BP I was immediately in Triage, from there right to a room no wait. The nurses were really nice (I saw about 4 of them) they gave me meds for my BP, a breathing treatment and referred me to a cardiologist. I say that because I went to Cornwell Health in St Joseph 4 days prior and they gave me an aspirin and sent me home after waiting about 15/20 minutes with the same symptoms. This is one of the best hospitals to go to. I’ve had a lot of positive experiences here. I’ve got four boys, so it seems like I’ve been here more often than the average person. I’ve been lucky enough to get Beth as a nurse numerous of times. I absolutely love having her as our nurse when we come. She’s very straight to the point, honest, trustworthy, and even funny. The world needs more people like her. Thank you Beth for all your remedies, tips, and positivity.
