Do not book Unit 30 at the Lakefront Resort on Port Carling. This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. The unit was sweltering hot — completely unlivable — and no one was available to help. I messaged the host at 4 PM, and hours went by before a cleaner showed up, but the issue was never resolved. No one cared that I had a 10-month-old baby suffering in dangerous heat. The place was also filthy — floors clearly hadn’t been mopped — and the Wi-Fi didn’t work at all. Renters Beware!! We rented one of their cottages in Sand Bay for over $3K for 5 nights. The photos on their website are highly misleading, and the cottage was clearly staged before being posted. The photos below speak for themselves. They posted a dishwasher was available - there was a plywood board hammered into the area where there was supposed to be a dishwasher. I’m writing this review after sending the below feedback to Lakefront Resorts twice without receiving any response, which has only added to my disappointment with our recent stay at the Englewood cabins. We reserved two side-by-side cabins to accommodate two families, one from Toronto and one from overseas. Both cabins felt unfinished and lacked basic resources. Totally unprofessional booking business. I went online and booked three days at one of the resorts for my family. Picked the dates Even paid in full. I received an email confirmation of booking same day. A few days later, I thought I'd better call them and just confirm a few things.
