I paid my cleaning woman, as usual, with a check drawn on my account at Lake Trust Credt Union, and she took the check to their nearest branch to cash it. The Lake Trust Credit Union charged her a $5 fee to cash the check, even though the check was drawn on the Lake Trust Credit Union. So I have had to write her checks for $5 more to cover this unjust fee. We often place higher trust in a credit union, thinking that they are for the people and by the people. I have place my money in banks and in Credit Unions and Lake Trust Credit Union does not live up to it's name! I never seen a Credit Union so FEE happy in my life and they work with you on no level. I watched a lady be mistreated in the lobby of the credit union and she actually had a legitiment concern.
