My wife and I arrived late on a Monday for our cabin rental and decided to stop at the General Store because we hadn't brought anything to make for dinner. My wife rang the General Store doorbell because it was closed and we thought it was where we needed to be for our rental. A very nice lady (Bonnie) answered the door, unfortunately, she didn't own the rental we were there for, however, when she realized we had no food she offered us some of the meal she was cooking and also opened her register so we could buy a few items ... read more

We've just got to our cabin at Lake Robert's in the Gila National Forest Mountains. We couldn't find a place open for dinner. But next door there was a small grocery store... not open. We rang the doorbell for guests. Bonnie opened the door, saying something like, " I'mglad you got here I almost gave up on you." A very cool and traditional store. Unfortunately it was closed as we arrived a bit late. We stayed nearby at the Mesa Campground but had to leave the other day.
