Rented the Admiral Houseboat for a long weekend August 23, 2024. Upon arrival one of the bedrooms was unusable due to completely wet carpet and musty smell. Housekeeping had left a note saying they hoped the carpet would dry out soon. It didn’t. Two fans were running and the carpet was pulled up! In two days we ran out of fuel for the generator to run the refrigerator and A/C. (Staff had told us we could run the generator all weekend without concern). We originally rented Ann’s Hideaway. The unit itself is great. We loved it. The bed and pillows on the other hand were awful. Like the worst we had ever slept on. After our first night we asked to be moved to another unit. The staff was very accommodating and we were moved to the new hotel. It is very nice. Beware there are no elevators so if your room is on the 2nd floor you are lugging everything up and down the stairs all weekend. We came prepared to stay in a cabin with a full size fridge. we rented a pontoon boat through them, and it was a very pleasant experience, for the third time. People are friendly dock hands are knowledgeable and very helpful. This is the only marina that we use year after year.
Rented their best pontoon to pull my grandchildren around the lake on a tube. Was perfect! The reception desk had the paper work ready, the people were pleasant. The weather was perfect.....we will be back! Dr. Bob Walsh
We thoroughly enjoyed our day on the lake using the Deluxe pontoon boat. They gave us plenty of instructions and were helpful guiding us in/out of slip. Even though our boat was older and veered a bit to one side, it handled everything we did including running donuts for tube spinning. It was such a pleasant experience and the lake and surroundings are gorgeous.
