Remarkable efforts have been made after Hurricane Helene devastated the area. Come by and visit there is still so much to see and do
View of the Lake Lure Beach. The beach is now a pasture full of weeds. No time line is available for reclaiming the area lake access. The marina, not pictured, to the left of the pictures is still heavily damaged. The lake remains at the lowest point in its history at about 963 Mean Sea Level. It is also a federal work site; so, only authorized personnel are allowed in the lake bed area.
