We moved mom into PLJ in November of last year. She fell in love with the staff, they became her second family along with her PT and OT. She made many friends and even won Ms. Congeniality in the PLJ Pageant. Mom passed away recently and as she was preparing for this final journey she was handled with love, gentleness and kindness from the staff. Thank you PLJ for making this very difficult time for our family easier.
I was looking for a place for my mom if she stayed in the are. We were given a tour by Michelle. The facilities are immaculate, and the staff we met were extremely friendly and genuine. The nurse, Andrea, met with my mom to evaluate the level of care she would require. Andrea was not only professional and knowledgeable, but she put my mom at ease very quickly with her kindness and caring personality. My dad loves the community at The Phoenix. The staff does a great job listening to our concerns and addressing them promptly. I sleep easy at night knowing my dad is in good hands and being taken care of.
When we began considering assisted living options for our mom who could no longer safely live on her own, we looked for several key characteristics including: 1) a clean, safe facility, 2) a caring staff, and 3) a leadership team that is engaged, transparent, and works to address issues quickly. The staff so far has been wonderful. They eased my mind as I was apprehensive about leaving my mom. They make you feel at ease and I feel such a relief that my mom is taken care of. They are respectful of what our needs are and soooooo helpful. They tell me I am no bother at all. I am very pleased with everything thus far. And most importantly is my mom likes it and seems very happy. The atmosphere is very bright and cheery.
