I'm so disappointed because I used to love lake garrison but now I will never go back. On labor day of this year I went and took two other people with me. It was just us 3 and I wanted to pay for them as well. It should have been a total of $54 for 3 people at $18 per person, but I was charged $154 instead. It was my fault to not look at the receipt while I was there. They do not itemize the receipt so it is diffcult to dispute. I have tried to get a response from them but of course they do not respond.
Was really looking forward to visiting garrison lake. Until we found out that someone died there. Its such a shame, very sad. not just for them, but for everyone else. It destroys the fun. Then they become too strict. There are too many drownings, already several in nj alone. If swimming at own risk was allowed, there wouldn't be so many drownings! People need to be more responsible. I highly recommend this lake. The staff is exceptionally nice and helpful. They have lifeguards you could bring your own grills and Floaties. It is so much fun. You can rent paddleboats and canoes. They even have a store to cook food. I invited my whole family to meet me there and we had such a wonderful time.
