Beautiful water treated, lifeguarded beach, with nice facilities and concessions available. We will definitely visit when they open again next season. Plenty of parking. Shade trees in grassy areas. A few fixed shade structures cover a little of the sandy areas. I recommend bringing your own shade providing shelter for the beach, if you think you'll want shade. The sand is a courser pebbly sand. Very nice as it doesn't stir up as easy as finer sand.
Very unhappy today. Funny funny funny funny funny funny funny funny We came in got a permit and went to the swim pond which is closed without any warning on the online website. It says open! Then we came back to get a refund on our permit and they told us permits are nonrefundable. What is up with this? Very upset with kids in the car and now we can't go swimming. Grrr. You need to update your website!!!!!
I don’t frequent this lake, but my sister came from Florida and as kids we use to come and swim here. With kids of our own, we wanted to bring them and show them where we use to enjoy our hot summers. I arrived first and it started to rain, they put the umbrellas down, long story short we waited out the rain my sister arrived and it was hot and sunny and she decided to ask if they could put the umbrellas back up and they told her no that they didn’t feel like it, mind you there were at least three or four kids (staff) in the... read more
