Mostly uncovered trails, make sure to bring water, and charged phone for gps, trails go every which way but some trails look like used for the residents around there with horses.
Deer & sand hill cranes were there today. If you like a clear view of trees and grasses, there's plenty to see.
I had a nice walk early in the morning. I did white, then most of yellow finishing of with blue. I took just under an hour about 5k steps. I saw deer right away on the bridge, then woodpeckers, rabbits and horses. There were only a few bugs but I see it getting bad later. Map is up front, but the tails aren't clearly marked. Fun walk with a boardwalk taking you out to the trail. You can walk to Lake Dan by following the rock trail, there's no shade. We saw a good sized Gator, deer and birds. If you want to be really adventurous you can walk to the other side to Lake Ellen, thru a herd of cows to the other side. Great place to explore!
Nature walk, great for birds, butterflies. To the lake it’s open fields. Lovely long-leaf pine area.
