STGI marked the wrong billing code. This was an urgent care visit because I was fishing below the Fishing Bridge when a bison crossed the bridge and came down to where I was fly fishing. The “intake” manager shoved a sheet in front of me on what coverage they take. I believe they intentionally called it an office visit to charge me “out of pocket” rates of $212 rather than inputting it correct with my Select Health and United Healthcare Insurance. I went to the clinic for an extended illness recently, as a park employee word gets around as to where you should and should not go, and I had heard bad stuff about the Lake Clinic, but it was the closest clinic to my property and I wasn't about to make my friend drive me farther than she had to. The employees I've dealt with since and during my visit were all very helpful, while the PA didn't have a definite answer for what was wrong he was good conversation and listened to what I knew about my body. We were in Yellowstone a little over a week ago, when my husband had to go to a clinic because a leg wound he had received before our vacation looked very "angry." Late Saturday night (just about 10 minutes before the clinic closed), we got to Lake Clinic and were seen promptly by Nurse-Practitioner Cheryl Wheeler and her staff. They. Were. Wonderful.
