0 stars. This company makes me sick. They lie and cheat and commit fraud, they will take your money “investment” and use it for personal use or other projects. They will take your hard earned money, your savings, your retirement and you will not see it again. You will not have a finished home. Do not use this company. Do not believe what they say. Do not believe pictures they send you. It’s all fake. Please read reviews and ask people before investing.
We bought our home from Lake City over 2 1/2 years ago and we love it. The home has held up very well, and the build quality and design is top notch. No complaints so far and they were very fair to work with.
As a realtor, I know how important it is to work with quality, ethical builders. Upon the advice of a friend, I looked up some of the lawsuits Dave Brown, Dan Newell, and their companies like Lake City are currently involved in. Yikes! Customers who gave Dave and Dan deposits that disappeared, investors who lost their money, employees who are owed thousands in wages!
