I have been volunteering for LCI since November, and I'm so grateful for the opportunity. Juliana has been so patient and helpful to me, and everyone in the office always makes me feel welcome and appreciated. I'm inspired by their tireless dedication to clean water and proud to be a part of the organization!
You can count on Juliana Dixon to be a driving force for positive change for all things environmental. She has a solid educational background with a Masters in Environmental Policy. She has public relations experience as a dance promoter and environmental activist. She has both the energy and the will to absolutely pick up the phone, go door-to-door, cheerlead, or do whatever it takes to get results. If you care about Lake Champlain join this group!
As a water loving citizen and an environmental educator, I consistently turn to LCI for their guidance and inspiration to keep up the good fight. Whether it's their coverage of pollution or their up-to-date story-telling about clean water legislation, I find these folks to be top-notch advocates. I was a huge supporter until I had a very nasty interaction on one of their event pages. The description said women 'may be particularly interested' in clean water 'as it pertains to their children'.. I found this to be sexist, as it implies men don't care as much about their childrens' health and also that women are inherently into childbearing, and I made that clear.
