Unfortunately, it rained nearly every day that we were here this time. We still had a wonderful time entertaining family, and on the last day the weather cleared up enough for the little great-grandchildren to enjoy some swimming. As always, Max was a wonderful host and was always there if we needed him. The cleaning staff is also very helpful and willing to do whatever is needed. This is our 3rd year in a row, and we'll definitely be back next year. No sunset photos this year because it was always cloudy.
Down home, cozy, relaxing place that feels full of memories and love. Very clean, beautiful views and quiet. Close enough to the cities but far enough away. Very near to the weekend flea market and apple orchards(with fall corn maze)
My friends and I stayed overnight in cabin 7 a couple weeks ago. We absolutely loved it! The cabin was super cute, cozy and comfy. We had a great view of the beautiful lake. The game room was a bonus. Full of charm, character and board games. We played games for a couple hours. We didn’t have a chance for a bonfire but the firepit was nice and close to the cabin and picnic table. We wish we could have stayed another night. My husband and I stayed here for our second wedding anniversary, and it was the perfect getaway! The cabin was cozy and just right for us, with beautiful lakefront views right outside our windows. We really enjoyed taking the kayaks and canoe out on the water, and there was plenty to explore in the surrounding area. It is also amazing that they are a pet friendly resort as it made our experience better that we were able to bring our dog. The hosts were great to work with! A hidden gem only an hour from us, absolutely beautiful location. Lake Augusta is small and quiet, beautiful for swimming and fishing, kayaking, canoeing, etc. Annandale is a short five min drive and is a cool and artsy downtown with plenty of shops and bars. The cabins are small and quaint, clean and comfy. A fantastic place to have a few families together with their own spaces yet only steps away from each other.
