I’m very upset about the fake soursop juice. Two small cups for $16.00, and it wasn’t even real—it tasted like it was made with cheap artificial powder. The okra was cut into tiny pieces, which was disgusting, and it was placed in the corner next to the rice. Y’all got it completely wrong today. This is why people talk badly about Haitian food.
So I go in and the menu is not understandable (its in creole). That's ok but the problem was, I asked the girl behind the counter what does the menu mean. She looked at me with a frown and said I don't know. I said you don't know what these dishes are? She shook her head no and stormed into the back. I stood there for a minute. Treat yourself to a sit down dinner at Lakay. I can't say enough good things about my families' dining experience. With only a few tables in the restaurant, the service and personal attention were like you were invited into the chef's home for private dining. The table was set beautifully like at a 5-star restaurant and serene spiritual music and videos played to add to the welcoming atmosphere. Now--the food!
