I thought everything was going good. Until I showed up for my last apt. I received a confirmation email. When I got there there the rude lady behind the window said they no longer accept veterans ins. It was to much of a hassle. So now I'm left in the dark trying to find another doctor. Hoping I'll be able to get the same meds. I don't even know the name of the shot she was trying out on my migraines I only had 1. Plus stopped one of my other preventive medication. Dr. Renfrow was awesome. She was very tentative and patient with my father. I'm so glad she opened this clinic. She always gives us extra special attention. She is the best.
I am taking care of an elderly relative. This person required a pill to help them sleep, so we asked Lafayette neurology to prescribe one. This went awfully. My relative had a very bad reaction to the pill, to the point where their entire personality changed and they suddenly kept talking about committing suicide. Terrified, I called Lafayette neurology right away. No one picked up the phone. I left a message telling them about the threats of suicide and the sudden personality change after the new pills. My daughter has been seeing Dr. Hammoud for 15 years now and he is the absolute best. He has more compassion than any doctor I have met. His staff are wonderful. I couldn't ask for anyone better. My other daughter she's him now. They wouldn't have anyone else. He is always there when needed.
The doctor is very good and very compassionate. The NP is fine also. Things are handled in a timely manner. I have seen other comments regarding appointment setting. In the past it was a little sketchy. One time I spoke to someone who was talking really fast and I heard a dog barking in the background. I assume she was “working” from home. It’s never a good idea to use a agency who then hires out…. usually ends bad. There’s no accountability. We have all had those call center problems similar to this.
