For informational purposes: The Von Frey hairs made by LIC were never intended to be a clinical tool. They were inexpensive and made for classroom demonstration purposes. I just purchased two traditional motor test kits (tap board * grooved pegboard) and the "quality cutaneous sensitivity kit." The first two, though overpriced for what they are, were as expected in quality. The "quality" cutaneous sensitivity kit' is anything but. The aesthesiometer calipers are of terrible quality, made of cheap plastic instead of the advertised brass, very easily bent, and do not close to anything smaller than about 2 mm.
