I bought a vehicle and had no way to know if the timing belt had ever been changed so I took it in to see if I needed one. I asked the owner to call me and let me know if required and new belt. He didn't. I called several times throughout the day to see what the status was and he kept saying they haven't had a chance to look yet. At the end of the day I called and he said it was done. I couldn't believe he went ahead with the repairs without my approval. A timing belt should cost around $300, my bill was $823.79. What a shoc... read more
