On June 24, 2026 at 8:00PM EST, my husband and I were walking on the Congress Street sidewalk directly outside the Lafayette Apartments (638 Congress St) when a massive glass candle holder fell from a 5th-story window ledge. It shattered less than a foot away from my husband. Had it struck his head, the outcome would have been catastrophic.
