My wife had a small arm surgery at this hospital in November 2024. During the day of operation, we we requested to pay their estimate for the service in the amount of $2K, even though we were approaching our out of pocket maximum on our high-deductible insurance plan. Shortly after they had submitted the claim to insurance, we found out that they haven't included that cash payment to the claim, so it was not reflected there and was not counted towards our out of pocket payments. Trying to find out explanations and resolution... read more
My mom went to the emergency room with low blood pressure and afib and ended up having to stay for four days. She sat on a bed in the hallway in the ER for 7 hours before being transferred to observation. Then she was sent to the cardiac unit for another three days. During the time, she stayed in the same outfit she arrived in and only got to change when my sister was able to bring her some clothes on day 3. My sister had to help her wash up and change, as the nurses didn't do it. My mother called several times for nurses wh... read more
My dad had a procedure 2 1/2 hours ago. He's in a lot of pain and we keep calling the nurses desk. Nobody came, so I'm in the hallway flagging someone down. The Dr hasn't even talked to us about what's next! We have no idea what's going on and they keep saying they're coming, but they don't. My dad is till in pain, they still haven't come in to see him.
Horrible! The attending nurse was great then comes the doctor. Pleasant as he was he left when his sift was over. Another doctor comes in. This doctors prescribes pain meds and no spasm relief. I was told I needed to return to the ER to get pain spasm relief. This would create a large bill for one slither of relief. Shame on you And your facility….
BCBS paid OLOL money that should have been paid directly to Terence for a Cancer policy. BCBS has requested money be returned to BCBS but OLOL only sent half of one $28000 payment and none of the $5000 payment. OLOL has not returned calls from appropriate departments/navigator and Customer Service department cant help. Katie Michaud in insurance overpayments won’t return calls
Our Lady of the Lake Hospital is a ZOO. I went there with a urinary tract & kidney infection & I waited almost 3 hours to be seen in the emergency room. I went there at 2:00pm and left after the pain got a lot worse. I then got a call after 12:30 that night to see why I left. Are you serious? I would have waited for 10 1/2 hours to be seen. The hospital should be shut down!
The nurses in the ER nursing staff have to be the most incompetent people. They are rude and uncaring. I understand that they are busy but when you have a person concerned about their parents they can at least fake sympathy or empathy. Something. All they do is wait for a resident's order. The nurses does not do any physical assessments. They just walk around joking and laughing with each other. We can barely get a cup of water from them. I sat there in the ER for 7 1/2 hours talking to 6 different residents who didn't have ... read more
Terrible care!!! Terrible!!!!!! My mom went to the ER.. ended up admitting her for emergency gallbladder surgery. Room a mess, no one assisting her.. horrible experience! What in the world has happened to this huge hospital?? They are not on top of their game in care!!! Never will she go back there, never!! Filthy!
I went to the emergency room complaining of an increased heart rate, the onset of significant fatigue, nausea, and vague pain in my feet. I was confused and thinking slowly. I told them these symptoms started a couple of days ago one night after work when I was trying to go to sleep. I thought I was having a bout of tachycardia as I had been diagnosed with SVT in the past. I was given an EKG, a chest x-ray, and two blood tests. On the way to get my chest x-ray, the technician was taking me back to the x-ray room and I suf... read more
