DONT GO PARKES BETTER OFF DRIVING TO FORBES. Yesterday I attended the Emergency Department at 1:00pm due to severe abdominal pain and was not discharged until 7:00pm. During this time, I was briefly examined, provided with pain relief, and advised to return the following morning for further assessment. I then contacted the hospital this morning and was given an appointment for 11:00am. Staff were nice. But the system is the biggest let down, particularly for a 2 year with a potential fracture. Waited over 5 hours, and told there's still no certainty when my baby will be seen to. I saw an adult limp in with a palm sized gash and was treated and gone within an hour. I watched So many people come and go, and my 2 year old was essentially forgotten. No pain relief offered. I’ve just had a procedure done at Parkes Hospital as my local hospital couldn’t fit me in, and I have to say how great everybody was there. Every member of staff I encountered, from admissions to doctors, were all friendly, caring & professional and made my time there so much better. A lovely modern building with TONS of parking, too. I can’t rate them highly enough

Got bumped from Dubbo for a procedure to Parkes. What a great team they have there. Admissions were clear,accurate and left no room for doubt to what was required. Friendly with a smile, everyone I dealt with at each processing point were friendly, happy and professional. Procedure completed promptly, all involved carried their profession at top level.
