Lacawac Sanctuary isn’t your typical wedding venue — and that’s exactly what makes it so special. We had the chance to photograph a wedding here, and it felt like something out of a storybook. The ceremony took place by the house, surrounded by towering trees and total quiet. It was peaceful, raw, and stunningly beautiful — the kind of place where the natural setting becomes part of the love story. For couples who want something truly different, far from ballrooms and banquet halls, Lacawac has a magic of its own.

We came for a wedding but we enjoyed being in such a beautiful forest even more.

Can’t believe it took so long to discover this place so close to home. Gorgeous. One of the southern-most glacially carved lakes. Pristine. A ton of peaceful hiking.
