My doula made this class a requirement. I attended, was active etc. Then comments started being mad (mind you my baby is extremely sick and a huge part of it is stress). A comment was made about how only black and latina women can feel the need to over work themselves and not relax. First and foremost, Lydia is AMAZING! Her breadth of knowledge and very personable manner immediately puts you at ease and makes what can potentially be a stressfull time, much easier. She is patient, has great recommendations and suggestions for things that will help you in both pregnancy and postpartum stages from resources to actual products, like the belly binder as an example. " Having Lydia as my doula was totally worth it. It definitely saved me from a lot of unnecessary visits to dr and hospital, It was totally worth it. Ive had kids already, but I never knew the things that I had control of or my different options. Having Lydia as my doula was one of the best decisions I could have made! Honestly I don't think I would have achieved the birth outcome I desired (unmedicated VBAC!!) without Lydia. 10/10 would highly recommend. I was initially given educational videos to watch in regards to the type of birth I wanted. All throughout the concierge birth and doula service I was given educational information.
