Had my first baby here last year, absolutely amazing experience!! Wouldn't do it any other way!!!
There aren't enough words to thank these wonderful ladies!! My daughter was born at LOL on 3/15/15 with her head sideways and umbilical cord wrapped 3x around her neck and they handled it like champs! Emily was amazing and supportive even after being woken up at 2AM and energetic despite the baby not joining us until 11:27 AM. Emily knew when to ask for help and when to give encouragement. I couldn't have had a natural birth without her or Bea and I'm SO grateful!
We had our first child at Labor of Love Birth Center on October 24, 2009 with Rebecca Rico Finklea. It was a wonderful experience. I loved being able to move around, eat and drink, lie down if I wanted. I also appreciate the amount of space my midwife gave me while I was laboring and how she respected my privacy. This place is AWESOME!
We had our first child in a hospital. It was a good, but not great experience. So, we decided to check out Labor of Love. Now we know what prenatal and birth care SHOULD entail. We were treated as people, not a number or patient. Our daughter was included in the whole process and could have even been at the birth, if we choose that. You just feel warm and part of the family every time you go there.
My husband and I welcomed our first born daughter Milanni Aisla Tavarez just 10 days ago. Our water birth experience at Labor of Love could not have been more perfect. Our midwife Karla and birth assistant Sady were used to bless Milanni's entrance into this world. This place is awesome. All the staff are so friendly and actually care about you. I would do it here all over again and wish we would have known about them for our first baby. We had a wonderful experience and hope that others would consider this approach too.
