Great experience with a blood draw for my 5 year old son. He said it didn't hurt at all. Teresa was the tech and did an amazing job. They took 7 tubes of blood and he was perfectly fine throughout. We made sure to have him drink lots of water beforehand and use some numbing cream an hour in advance (4% lidocaine over-the-counter). My son was so happy and relieved afterward!
Arrived at Labcorp (622 W Duarte Rd, Ste 303, Arcadia) 18 minutes before their 3:00 PM closing time with my 13-year-old daughter for routine blood work. My doctor had sent the electronic order (as they have successfully for the past 5 years), but staff said they didn’t receive it. Called the doctor’s office—they resent it immediately. The front desk staff are very unfriendly.
I've done a lot of blood tests in my life but this was the MOST painful experience by FAR. The old woman with gray hair I think her name is Teresa? took out the needle then reinjected the needle a couple times then while the needle was in, she kept moving it left and right, up and down which caused more bruising and puncturing.
