After weeks of making appointments and being turned away because of the shortage of pediatric needles I was confident today's appointment would be a success. Upon my arrival at the patchogue office I was told there was a shortage. I was a little frustrated because I have to jump though hoops just to get here. We have used Labcorp in Patchogue many times. Today, I asked if the person who was going to take my blood had the vaccine. She said, "NO, and we don't have to tell you that!" I called the Medford office and asked. They were much nicer and the woman who took my blood was vaccinated. It never occurred to me that I have to ask healthcare workers if they were vaccinated. They should all be vaccinated. I am immunosuppressed; I could easily get COVID from one of Labcorp's workers.
The lab process is extremely efficient, the lab is spotlessly clean, the front desk helpful, and Katherine the technician is friendly and professional. Great experience!
