Customer courtesy was nonexistent today. On Friday I walked up to Labcorp on Bellevue in Richmond Heights. (I do not drive) in the heat to pick up a specimen cup for my homebound mother. On Monday I made a 9:30 appointment to return the specimen. I arrived at labcorp at 9:35 and signed in. Yes I was5 minutes late, but again I do not drive and I had walked to the labcorp office. I arrived for a 10am blood draw on 7/11/2020 at Labcorp in Richmond Heights only to discover the entrance door was locked. No explanation. No prior email notification or phone call to alert me that the office would be closed. No way to speak to anyone at this office but to leave a voicemail. Wholly unprofessional and rude. I use Labcorp because my insurance pays well for their services. I may have to find an alternative.
RecommendedMy technician, Shaka, was very caring and professional. Many people treat lab work like it’s routine work and don’t realize that many people are nervous. She calmed my reservations and was very quick and steady with taking the sample. The profession needs more people like Shaka
