I always have a great experience at the Labcorp in Orinda, especially because of the phlebotomist Eli. She is incredibly kind, patient, and professional. She has such gentle hands that I honestly don’t even feel it when she draws my blood, which makes a huge difference for someone who gets anxious about labs. The overworked staff is kind, patient and skilled. Unfortunately today I didn't have an appointment so needed to wait 2.5 hours ( after fasting for 12 hours). The problem was the managing of these facilities. The Orinda LabCorp only had 1 phlebotomist for checking in and drawing labs. The Lafayette LabCorp closed ( no walk ins) for appointments only and then closed completely due to computer problems. While the CEO of LabCorp makes 10 million the employees are left overworked and poor equipment. Corporate , Get it together!

Always short staffed, always too busy. Plan to wait. Staff is nice and competent once you get in.

It’s a very convenient location for me. The lab is very clean and the staffs are very nice. But at least some of them really need to improve the skills. I wish they don’t talk so much during the bloodwork, don’t move the needle too much inside the vein when changing tubes.
