***PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!*** This is my first time getting blood drawn at Labcorp. I wasn't there for more that 2 minutes before the woman taking my blood complained about her job and how much she was making compared to other employees, and then proceeded to take blood in a place I wasn't comfortable with *after I told her I wasn't comfortable with it* and then HIT A NERVE IN MY ARM. I am not a fan of getting my blood drawn, so I chose Labcorp's Monroeville location because of Nicole's stellar reviews. Unfortunately, by the time I called to make sure she still worked there - and she does! - all her appointments were taken on the only day I could go. Nicole gave me the advice to come early at 7am when they opened. I got there a little after that and checked in immediately. Nicole had a last-minute emergency, so Meridith filled in for her. Such a good experience here yesteday. Check in was very easy and straight-forward, and the blood draw was done very well. But more importantly (to me, at least), I went in to get an emotionally difficult blood draw, and was treated with such compassion and understanding. Such a gift. I'm so sad I didn't catch the woman's name, but I'll never forget her kindness at a time when I was feeling very fragile.
Great experience at this Labcorp location. Nicole is an absolute gem! My doctor did not give her any information, just sent a test randomly to this location because it is closest to my house (without including my name or any identifying information on it…). Nicole called me, figured out what was going on, and got me in and out before it was even time for my appointment. I’m sure no one likes going for a blood draw, but Nicole made it a joy.
