Today I went to the Lab corp in Med Star medical building in Upper Marlboro Maryland. I. was suppose to have my blood drawn two weeks ago I HATE NEEDLES but I found the courage to go in the office to get bloodwork, that had been ordered I was called in the back, I said to my said self Ok I can do this, I was like, here I go!! I got in and out in 10 minutes. Very pleasant experience. Phlebotomist was great didn’t even feel the needle. This will be my go to Lab now.
The employee responsible for both the front desk and bloodwork performed my blood test incorrectly. Despite providing my doctor’s order in person and it being electronically sent to Labcorp, the employee used an outdated order from a year ago. Ironically, I wasn’t even supposed to have bloodwork done for what was drawn. As a result, none of the tests my doctor ordered were completed. Labcorp must ensure its employees understand the seriousness of their responsibilities—this is completely unacceptable.
