Best Polenta Around!!! – Not only was the polenta to die for, the halibut was perfectly cooked. If I hadn't been on a first date, I would have scarfed down every last morsel. I had a spinach salad to start and it was really tasty but too big to eat before dinner, perhaps you can share it. The service was wonderful, the waitress was very nice and attentive. Ask about the specials.
Best in the area – La Veranda offers excellent food, pleasant service, and a convenient location for Clayton and Concord residents. However, even if you don't live nearby, I still recommend this restaurant. It can get very busy on weekend evenings, so make a reservation if you can. Try the seafood pasta in the lobster bisque sauce; it's truly decadent. Pay attention to the specials, because they are often the best!
